Alberta Quarter Horses Overview

I, Stuart Norton, began my experience with good horses at the age of six when my father purchased a Steeldust horse from the first registered Quarter Horse stud to be brought into Canada.  My next experience with really good horses came about 15 years ago when I bred two good broodmares to A Real Gold Mine.  The offspring were superb.

I have since purchased two stallions and several brood mares from Gold Mine.  I recently purchased Grullo Drifter to cross on those mares.  I was also fortunate to purchase eight good brood mares from AQHA Champions.

I try to produce horses that:

• have great dispositions
• pretty enough to show at halter
• have athletic ability to perform in a variety of events
• a good mind

I want my buyers to purchase horses they want to keep.  Many of my purchasers have stated that the horses they have bought from me are the best horses they have ever owned.
